Following the enormous success of the first Deepings Literary Festival in 2017, the organisers have prepared the next sensational ‘weekend of wordcraft’, running from 23-26 May 2019.
The Festival programme will be enjoyed at venues throughout The Deepings, with a fabulous mix of entertaining and informative sessions across each of the four days.
There’s something for everyone with Milly Johnson (The Perfectly Imperfect Woman), Judith Allnatt (The Silk Factory), international crime fiction writer Sophie Hannah (The Mystery of Three Quarters), thriller writer Louise Jensen (The Sister), local young writer Darren O’Sullivan (Our Little Secret) and actress and popular author Carol Drinkwater (The Olive series) amongst the first-class line up. Veteran broadcaster and Strictly star John Sergeant also makes a Festival appearance as guest speaker at the Black Tie Gala Dinner on Saturday 25 May.
Indeed, food will play a big part of the programme with coffee and cake, strawberries and cream, canapés and prosecco, a fish and chip supper and a Sunday Brunch all on offer across the four day event.
Once again, the 2019 Festival will include a series of events at The Deepings School with Dr Patricia Fara, presenting the fascinating story of Science and Suffrage in the First World War.
To book tickets for all Festival events visit www.stamfordartscentre.com or call 01780 763203.
