Deeping born, Julia Jarman has been a writer for forty years. Formerly a teacher, she started writing for children when her own three were young. Cheeky Chick is her latest picture-book. Julia turned to writing women’s fiction during lockdown, drawing on her own experience as wife, widow, mum and grandma. The Widows’ Wine Club was the happy result.
