Louise is an award winning author of eight novels including the recently published Black Water, one work of non-fiction and five radio plays. Her 2013 top ten bestseller Apple Tree Yard has recently been adapted for the BBC. She has been the judge for many awards including the Man Booker prize and the Costa Novel Award. She is a highly experienced tutor of creative writing. She originally comes from Melton Mowbray and now lives in London. This afternoon will include a discussion with Louise about ‘Apple Tree Yard’, a creative writing workshop about how to plot and structure your own novel and a question and answer session about Louise’s role as a literary judge. Refreshments in aid of Friends Of Deepings Library.
